A Cantonese restaurant inside one of Melbourne's most iconic pubs. We created a brand with enough personality to hold its own above The Espy's stage.
The Espy's reinvention needed more than a refurbishment. The upstairs space needed its own world, distinct from the pub below and worth seeking out on its own terms.
Mya Tiger is a Cantonese restaurant that lives above The Espy in St Kilda, and it needed to feel like a destination, not an afterthought. The concept draws from colonial-era club lounges reimagined through a modern lens: emerald green bar, floral pink carpets, vintage furniture, and views across St Kilda Pier that make the cocktail hour feel earned.
We built the brand identity to match the theatre of the space. Playful, confident, culturally layered. The name carries the personality of a fictional tigress, and every brand expression, from the menu design to the tone of voice, channels that same energy: strong, charming, and impossible to overlook. A venue that rewards the visit with something you genuinely didn't expect to find upstairs at a pub.
