A fully paid staff member, the Connoisseur’s sole responsibility was to sleep in the beds, taste the food, party at the events, and conduct essential ‘vibe checks’ across QT’s one-of-a-kind rooms.

The role captured imaginations and headlines alike, driving hyper-localised media coverage, influencer content, and over 3 million in social reach — extending buzz well beyond opening night and making QT Newcastle the talk of the town.
